Karolina Hejnova

Dance

She has been dancing since she was three years old, when she started attending the Ballet School of the emeritus soloist of the National Theatre in Prague, BcA. Ján Nemec, and took her first dance steps under his guidance. In addition to amateur ballet competitions, she also regularly performed in theater performances organized by the ballet school. She graduated from the Dance Conservatory of the City of Prague, majoring in Classical Dance. She was a member of the ballet company of the JK Tyl Theater in Pilsen, where she performed in both classical and modern ballets, such as Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, Cinderella, The Taming of the Shrew, Manon, Sleeping Beauty, Edith-Sparrow from the Suburbs, Carmen, Death in Venice, Spartacus and many others. As part of her self-education, she completed the International Ballet Masterclasses in Prague with D. Klimentová, prima ballerinas of the English National Ballet in London, professional internships in Poland in Warsaw and studied privately with MgA. A. Pollertová, a soloist not only of the Hamburg Ballet, but also of the National Theatre in Prague. Already during her engagement at the JK Tyl Theatre in Pilsen, she began teaching at the DJKT Ballet School. In 2020, she became a dance teacher in Prague at the DDM Modřany. She also had the opportunity to teach ballet in the Prague professional company Pop Balet. She is now an external member of the ballet of the National Theatre Opera in Prague and is also engaged in teaching.
