Marcela Valta

Dance

Dance has accompanied her throughout her life. She took her first steps at the age of five in the ballet preparatory school of the Brno Art School. At eleven, she joined the experimental class of the Brno State Conservatory, majoring in classical dance, where, under the guidance of Prof. Eliška Rybníčková, she began to devote more attention to folk dance. During her studies, she worked in the dance group at BROLN, which later determined her professional direction.

At the age of eighteen, she joined the Czechoslovak State Song and Dance Ensemble, where she worked for thirteen years – first as a member of the ensemble, then as a soloist and artistic advisor. The ensemble's repertoire was very diverse: from folk dances to stylizations of music by A. Dvořák, B. Smetana, L. Janáček and B. Martinů to the program Dance and Time, mapping dance styles from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Marcela also performed abroad, for example in C. Porter's musical Kiss me Kate in Bregenz.

During her artistic practice, she studied dance pedagogy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. After finishing her career, she devoted herself to her family and family business, but dance remained her passion and guide. In 2009, life took her to Canada, where she attended Don Jordan's lessons at the Montreal Jazz Dance Factory. It was there that she discovered a new dimension of movement – the joy of dancing regardless of age or experience, in a team of professionals and enthusiastic amateurs.

He now wants to bring this joy of movement and desire to dance to Studio B Motion.
