Rehabilitation exercises for children

Tereza Rytiková, 4200 CZK per semester

O kurzu

The exercise is intended for children aged approximately 4–10 years and is aimed at supporting proper motor development, improving posture and preventing motor difficulties in childhood. The program is particularly suitable for children: • with poor posture, • with a weakened deep stabilization system (center of the body), • with diastasis (spacing of the rectus abdominis muscles), • with an altered mechanical axis of the lower extremities (e.g., bowed or bulging knees), • with flat feet and other functional foot defects. What is the goal of the exercise? During the lessons, children learn correct motor habits in a playful and age-appropriate way. We focus on: • strengthening the deep stabilization system of the torso, • activation of the right muscle groups, • stretching shortened and overworked muscles, • improving stability and coordination of movement, • supporting the correct position of the spine, pelvis and lower limbs, • developing balance and overall motor skills, • proper function of the feet and arch of the foot. How does the exercise take place? The exercise takes place in the form of games, obstacle courses, balance activities and simple therapeutic exercises adapted to the age of the children. The emphasis is on the correct execution of the movement, the individual capabilities of the child and the creation of a positive relationship with movement. Why is regular exercise important? Early correction of movement stereotypes can help prevent later difficulties such as back pain, joint overload, posture disorders or limitations in sports activities. Regular exercise promotes healthy growth and proper development of a child's musculoskeletal system.
